HealthWorks! practices the Buddy System: all children must be accompanied by an adult, and all adults must be accompanied by a child during general admission visits.
Happy 10th Birthday HealthWorks!
To celebrate our 10th birthday, every tenth day of the month is FREE from 12noon-7pm! It’s a great time to bring your family; there are always dozens of educational and entertaining activities taking place. Our exhibit floor provides endless opportunities for parents and children to interact with one another!

Driving Directions and Parking Information
From the Toll Road:
Take Exit 77 (Notre Dame Exit). At the end of the exit ramp, turn right and head South on Michigan St./ 933. You will pass the University of Notre Dame on the left and Memorial Hospital on the right. The road will split and become Main Street, heading one way South. Stay in the left lane.
BUSSES: Turn left (East) on Washington. At the stop light, turn right (South) on Michigan St. Pass the TCU parking lot, and turn right into the parking structure. Follow the curve around to the right and drop students off outside the glass doors.
CARS*: Turn left (East) onto Jefferson, turn left into the parking structure and proceed up the ramp into the parking garage.
From the South:
Take US 31/ Michigan St. into South Bend. The street will become one way headed North. Stay to the left. At the post office, the street becomes St. Joseph Avenue. Take St. Joseph St. to Jefferson (The Century Center will be on the right), and turn left (West).
BUSSES: At stoplight, turn right onto Michigan. Turn left into parking structure (across from South Bend Chocolate Café). Follow the curve around to the right and drop students off outside the glass doors.
CARS*: Proceed through Michigan / Jefferson intersection and turn right into the parking structure. Proceed up the ramp into the parking garage.
From the 31 By-Pass:
Take South Bend Airport / US 20 Exit. Head East into downtown South Bend (US 20 will become Lincolnway West.). Lincolnway West will curve around and become LaSalle St. At LaSalle/ Main St. intersection, turn right onto Main St. Drive to far left lane.
BUSSES: Turn left onto Washington. At stoplight, turn right onto Michigan. Past TCU parking lot, turn right into parking structure. Follow curve around to the right and drop children off at double glass doors.
CARS*: Turn left onto Jefferson St. Turn left into parking structure and proceed up ramp into the parking garage.
Parking
Busses may park along the east wall in the first floor of the parking garage at no charge, next to ‘Bus Parking Only’ signs. Overflow parking is available on Washington St., North of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Car and van parking is available in the Leighton Parking Garage connected to the museum for a charge. Free parking is available on the streets surrounding the museum, with limitations. |
