What does a HealthWorks! field trip include?

• Interactive program of your choice lead by a HealthWorks! High Flying Kid Motivator.
• 1 hour to explore our hands on exhibit floor and see our exciting Main Brain Theater.
• A post packet to take back to school after your visit.

What do I need to know about scheduling a field trip to HealthWorks!?

• All field trips must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.

• Please have the following ready before you call:

  A couple of tentative dates and times Number of students you will be bringing. Your school information (name, address, phone, etc). The name of the program you would like to see

• When you are ready to schedule please call 574-647-KIDS.

What do I need to know about my visit to HealthWorks!?

• The minimum number of students required for a school field trip is 15.
• Chaperones are FREE! We recommend one adult per six students.
• Payment is due upon arrival. We accept cash, check or credit. Checks can be made payable to HealthWorks! Kids' Museum.
• Bus parking is free.  For those arriving by car, there is free parking available on the street or for a fee, you may park in the garage adjacent to our building. Be sure to park in an unreserved space.
• Please let us know in advance if your group may require special assistance.
• We want to get to know you, so name tags are encouraged!

Any discounts?

• Children qualifying for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program are welcome to visit HealthWorks! free of charge. In order to receive this benefit, we request a letter from your principal on school stationary indicating the number of students enrolled in the program. This cost will be underwritten by Memorial Health Foundation.

Does HealthWorks! programming meet academic standards?

Can we eat lunch at HealthWorks!?

• Unfortunately, HealthWorks! does not have a lunch facility. However, we do have a beautiful courtyard where you are welcome to eat! To make arrangements please call 574-647-KIDS. 
• There is also a nearby facility where small groups are able to take a sack lunch and eat free of charge. Ask for details when scheduling.

What if I need to cancel/reschedule?

• If you are unable to come at your scheduled time, please make sure to call 574-647-KIDS at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule.
• No-shows will be charged in full.
  

• If your trip must be cancelled due to weather there will be no penalty. Please call 574-647-KIDS to reschedule as soon as possible.
